Challenging site problems overcome for a multinational automotive retailer

On a high profile town centre site, a conditional deal was agreed with a multinational automotive retail and services company for a new two-storey car dealership.

In addition to the complicated archaeological and flooding issues, a historic overage deed prevented a straightforward development. A series of strategic planning applications allowed not only the development to receive an implementable planning permission but also the overage payment to be agreed and discharged, both of which triggered the disposal.
