Outline planning consent for a regenerative residential development was received on an 18.5acre brownfield site, previously owned and operated by a U.S. industrial manufacturer. A successful planning outcome was only ever possible on the grounds that the site was unviable for its existing manufacturing use and a detailed and comprehensive submission hinging upon viability and sequential testing was required.
A highly experienced team of property professionals was put together and following the submission of a detailed application, approval for a mixed-use scheme including 167 homes, public open and a small modern industrial estate was given.
